We are excited to share that we are going to be working with the NHSX to develop a Digital Health Technologies Standard for the life sciences sector

We are pleased to share that we are working with NHSX to support development of a Digital Health Technologies Standard for developers and commissioners.

In 2018 a working group led by NHS England, with NICE, MedCity, Public Health England and DigitalHealth.London formed to develop a set of standards to ensure new digital health technologies are both clinically effective and offer economic value, while meeting the needs of the health and care system, patients and users. The first version was launched in December 2018, followed by an updated edition in March last year.

Building on from the Evidence Standards framework, we are working with NHSX to support development of a Digital Health Technologies Standard, which will provide a consistent and transparent approach to standards for digital health innovators and commissioners. The aim is to speed up and streamline how health technologies are reviewed and commissioned by the NHS and social care.

Our role as an industry engagement partner is to gather feedback on the draft standard (which will be online soon) from stakeholders, including developers, clinicians, academics, and commissioners, to continue to evolve the standard, before release later in 2020.

Read more in this blog and look out for the consultation launching soon, as we would love to hear about your experience and your views on the draft standard.

More information on this coming soon!
