The Initial SME Application form needs to be filled out by all SMEs who are interested in applying to the Collaborate to Innovate Programme. Applications will open on September 28, 2016 and will close on October 21, 2016.
The application will help us assess your eligibility to apply for this scheme. It will also help us find out some more about your innovation challenge, and determine whether you need to undergo matchmaking. We will not ask for this information again if and when you send in your final application (due on January 15, 2017).
Eligibility factors include the following:
- The company conforms to the EU Definition of an SME, found here: http://ec.europa.eu/growth/smes/business-friendly-environment/sme-definition_en.
- The benefits offered as part of this scheme classify as assistance under the European Commission’s De Minimis Regulation (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/state-aid). This allows a company to receive up to 200,000 euros worth of government assistance over any three-year fiscal period. The SME must have not received state aid over the current and last two fiscal years that would exceed the maximum allowance.
