We held the first NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) showcase for London and the South East on 8 February, bringing together 10 BRCs for industry and academics to find out how to access their scientific expertise.

We held talks from the NIHR’s Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure Dr Matthew Hallsworth on how to navigate the research landscape, and presentations from Oxford, London and Cambridge representatives to explore their successful projects and specific ares of interest.

The National Institute of Health Research BRCs were formed through partnerships between leading NHS organisations and universities; they conduct translational research to transform scientific breakthroughs into life-saving treatments for patients.

The event showcased the BRCs’ key areas of expertise across multiple therapeutic areas:
-Informatics, data and genomics
-Imaging and Diagnostics
-Novel Therapeutics and Technologies
